Gateshead Goes Local is looking to recruit new Local Action Group (LAG) members. By joining the LAG, you'll have the opportunity to get involved in local life and make a big difference. 

We are looking for individuals who live, work or volunteer in the Gateshead Goes Local Project Area. You'll be passionate about your local community and have a high level of local expertise. You'll work with other LAG members to agree funding for projects that will improve Gateshead's economy.

The commitment is to attend monthly meetings and an annual review meeting. The role is voluntary however training and support will be provided.

Richard Talbot-Jones who is acting Chair of the LAG explains: "It's a great opportunity for you to use your time and skills to help empower the community, support local businesses or help people into work and you'll be supported by the Council."  

"The group consists of a range of individuals from community, voluntary, public and private sector and residents."
